We serve a variety of industries, from large-scale mining operations and metalworking shops to food, pharmaceutical and chemical processing facilities.
Addressing each customer’s unique challenge is what we do best—providing the ideal solution to control dangerous dust, provide clean air, maintain a safe work environment, maximize production uptime and meet regulatory compliance. Here's why Camfil APC collects dust better:
Superior Collector Design
The vertical design of the Camfil APC filter cartridges in the Gold Series X-Flo (GSX) industrial dust collector provides more efficient pulsing of high loading dust. This eliminates uneven dust loading associated with horizontally mounted cartridges when used on high dust load applications. The GSX features a newly-engineered inlet and unique baffle configuration that creates a more uniform airflow, which extends the life of the filters. When the filters are pulse cleaned, more dust is channeled directly into the hopper instead of into the adjacent filters. The larger, lighter-weight door provides a larger entrance for filter access and easy maintenance that does not require entry into the collector and does not require tools.
The GSX collector uses Gold ConeTM X-Flo (GCX) Filter Cartridges for high-efficiency industrial dust collection. Building on the proven performance of HemiPleat® Gold ConeTM technology, GCX filters stay cleaner and last longer than conventional pleated filters. GCX filter cartridges use a proprietary inner pleat pack with an open-bottomed, inner-cone of media that greatly expands the usable surface area of the cartridge. Because the HemiPleat design exposes more media to the airstream, more dust is loaded on the filter and released during pulse cleaning.
The unique location of the GCX filter in the GSX collector provides more downward-facing media than standard, competitive systems. The cone is configured so that pulsed air is evenly distributed top to bottom along the outer pack of the filter and down through the inner cone pack. That means with each pulse, the GCX cone cartridge ejects more dust out of the collector, straight down to the hopper. This design offers an advantage over horizontal-style filters that pulse most of the dust back onto adjacent filters.
Even if you already have a dust collector, Camfil APC can help you choose the right pleated cartridge filter to improve your cartridge collector's dust capture efficiency, help it operate more reliably and reduce its energy and maintenance requirements with HemiPleat technology.
Camfil APC stays on top of the latest regulations and standards on indoor air quality and worker safety from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and explosion protection from NFPA (National Fire Protection Association). Customers receive complete technical and engineering support from our industry experienced sales reps. And all of our distributors are trained in OSHA and NFPA compliance. Our dust collectors are available with many explosion protection options including explosion vents, isolation valves, integrated safety monitoring filters and fire-retardant filter cartridges.
Camfil APC has a state-of-the-art dust collection test facility that can perform full-scale tests of your dust. By properly identifying dust characteristics, we can determine the right type of collector and filtration media for your application and determine the size equipment you need for optimal energy savings and operational efficiency. With the right equipment, you can minimize maintenance and reduce emissions while extending filter life.
Dust issues are complex, and dust collectors are generally not plug and play devices. The size and configuration, cartridge size and type, ducting and explosion protection equipment should be specified for each unique application. Choosing the best system for a given application involves research and attention to detail. Our exerts can help you determine the best dust collection system for your application, the type of ducting needed, the right filtration media, where to locate the collector and whether air can be safely recirculated downstream of the collector to save on heating and cooling costs.

Before the Gold Series collector was installed, smoke and dust from the laser cutting operation filled the facility.
After the Gold Series replaced a competitor's unit, laser smoke and dust is well-controlled, maintaining clean operating conditions and ensuring worker safety.
