Camfil fabricates static dissipative filter cartridges using either OmniPleat® cellulose or DuraPleat spunbond media. OmniPleat Fire Retardant Carbon Impregnated media packs are made from a cellulose fiber blend that is impregnated with carbon and chemically treated with a fire retardant resin. OmniPleat eXtreme FR Carbon Impregnated packs are treated with a fire retardant resin, impregnated with carbon and have a nano membrane applied for improved efficiency and dust release. DuraPleat DPA media packs are made of heavy-duty, all-purpose polyester. The moisture-resistant media is coated with a conductive aluminized finish to provide static dissipation and good dust repellency. These filters have an efficiency rating of MERV 11. DuraPleat DPTC media packs are impregnated with carbon and laminated with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane. These filters have an efficiency rating of MERV 16.

Stat-Safe filter cartridge technology

Camfil Stat-Safe™ filter cartridges are constructed using a patented antistatic urethane to dissipate static charges and the buildup of static electricity within a dust collector. The antistatic urethane is used as the glue that secures the filter pan to the media pack, eliminating the need for clips, wires or fabric swatches to ground the filter pan to the media. Since the anti-static mechanism cannot break off during operation, these filters provide near 100% failsafe operation. The cartridges can be fabricated with OmniPleat® cellulose or DuraPleat spunbond media, and are available for Gold Series III, GSX, Tenkay and Quad Pulse Package dust collectors—with or without OptiCones.
