The compact and powerful fine dust and fume collectors of the Quantum Series were especially designed to extract emissions for industrial applications like laser cutting, plasma cutting and laser welding. In another version the extraction system also can be used for manual welding and grinding applications. There are three sizes available which handle air volumes from 1,500 m³/h up to 5,500 m³/h - all sizes with the same small footprint. An integrated spark arrestor and the advanced filter design of the separator including segmented dual pulse online cleaning system ensures that the filter elements are cleaned efficiently and reliably while guaranteeing high system availability. In particular at thermal applications with laser and plasma a separate spark discharge ensures that coarse hot particles are collected in a separate bin to prevent the ignition of flammable fine dust particles and avoids fire hazards from the extraction system.

Design

The dust and fume collectors of the Quantum Series are designed to take up the minimum possible floor space which enables a close location to your processes in order to minimize ductwork and reduce fire hazards created by sparks. Built with decades of proven filtration industry knowledge and expertise, the Camfil APC Quantum Series includes design features and high-end technology which has been tested and proven in our range of market-leading dry dust and fume collectors.

Process reliability through integrated spark arrestor and smoke detector

Since spark entry reduces performance, damages the separator and the filter media and above all represents a fire hazard, many separators from other manufacturers use an external spark arrestor. This causes additional costs and space requirements. The Quantum Series® has been designed to avoid this expense.

As an option an integrated smoke detector is available which guarantees additional safety on the clean-gas side with high sparking in the extracted process exhaust air.

Efficiency

Safe capture and separation of fine hazardous dusts

The advanced filter design of the separator prevents any common system failures. The segmented dual pulse cleaning system with volume optimization ensures that the filter elements are cleaned efficiently and reliably while guaranteeing high system availability with sustainably low energy consumption. Depending on the configuration, coarse hot particles are collected in a separate container to prevent the ignition of flammable fine dust particles.
