Challenge

E&E Metal Fab., Inc., was cited by the Department of Environmental Protection Agency for violation of exhausting smoke and dust into the atmosphere. In a bidding process, Camfil APC pitted their Gold Series against Torit’s DFO 18. Jeff Pittenger of Effective Controls represented Camfil APC and worked with E&E to develop a dust collection system that would work with excellence and allow for future growth.

Solution

GS24 on laser cutting for carbon and stainless steel

The MG cutting table was used for carbon and stainless steel and also had room for growth in their welding operation. Jeff Pittenger worked with E&E to determine that a GS24 Gold Series® industrial dust collector would be the best product for current and future applications. The GS24 will allow for more welding potential down the road.

E&E was looking for longer filter life and a long-term solution to collection problems. Willie Erb, President of E&E Metal Fab., Inc., wrote to Pittenger, “Our decision to invest in a Farr product through Effective Controls was truly the right one.”

The GS24 has been up and running for E&E since April, with no filter replacement. Erb also states, “The dust collector is a quality product and the difference that we see with the air quality is second to none!” Not only did Erb receive a superior product, but excellent personal service accompanied the design and installation process through Pittenger and the technicians at Camfil APC. Camfil APC’s representative endeavored to give E&E Metal Fab quality equipment while keeping the customer informed of the process and saving time and money during the installation process.
